Andhra minister distributes 372 title deeds and promises Mangalagiri utilities

Andhra Pradesh IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh distributed permanent house-site title deeds and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana sanction letters to 372 beneficiaries in the Mangalagiri constituency on Monday. Speaking at the programme in Tadepalli, Lokesh said he would take responsibility for ensuring drinking water supply, piped gas connections and underground drainage for every household in the constituency by 2029. He also said a 100-bed hospital, a long-standing demand in Mangalagiri, was soon expected to become a reality.

The minister reiterated his commitment to fulfilling promises made during the 2024 elections. Lokesh said lands valued at nearly ₹2,000 crore had so far been distributed in the constituency through 6,060 title deeds issued in three phases. He said the latest beneficiaries were receiving permanent documents under the NDA government.

Recalling earlier demands that he promise house-site title deeds for poor residents, Lokesh said he had first studied the constituency’s problems before making a commitment. He said the promise had now been delivered through the distribution programme. As HRD minister, he said he had introduced reforms including the transformation of Nidamarru Zilla Parishad High School into a model institution.

He added that government schools across the state would be developed in a similar manner. Lokesh also identified the development of the Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple in Mangalagiri town as another major initiative. A.P.
