Andhra minister promises broad infrastructure push for Banaganapalle

Andhra Pradesh Roads and Buildings Minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy said Banaganapalle would be developed as a model town after inspecting construction projects in Nandyal district. He reviewed an administrative building, drainage works and a bypass road, and began construction of a visitor shelter at a local dargah using his own funds.
Andhra Pradesh Roads and Buildings Minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy has said Banaganapalle will be developed as a model town through a broad programme of infrastructure works. Reddy made the statement on Sunday while inspecting projects under way in the town in Nandyal district.
He reviewed progress and construction quality with officials during the visit. Among the sites inspected was a new Revenue Divisional Officer’s office building. The minister said the building would make administrative services more accessible once it became operational, and directed officials to complete it quickly while meeting prescribed standards.
He also examined drainage construction on Anjaneya Swamy Street. Reddy instructed officials to create an efficient drainage system and address water stagnation and sewage problems that residents face during the rainy season. The minister visited a bypass road being built on the Yaganti Palle route.
He said the road would help ease congestion on the town’s main roads, manage rising vehicle movement and improve transport facilities. Reddy also performed a groundbreaking ceremony for a new shed at the Dastagiri Swamy Dargah. The shed is intended to provide shelter for visitors during rain, and the minister said he was funding the construction personally after a request from members of the Muslim community.
He said the government’s objective was comprehensive development across sectors. The supplied material did not give the budgets, completion dates or contractors for the road, drainage and administrative building projects.
