In the League Cup, a heavily rotated Manchester City team beat Norwich 5-0. France 24 reported that Rayan Cherki scored and 17-year-old Floyd Samba netted twice. The report added that City, under Enzo Maresca, have won all six of their matches.

Algeria coach Brahim Hemdani named a 26-man squad for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, while Morocco head coach Mohamed Ouahbi selected 29 players.
