Rahul Gandhi launches platform to map protest movements across India

Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi has launched Satyagraha, a digital platform inviting individuals and groups to submit details of struggles over issues including education, corruption, social justice, farming, labour, health, women’s safety, land and the environment.
Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has launched a digital platform called Satyagraha to document resistance movements across India. The initiative comes as Opposition parties, civil-society groups and youth-led organisations continue protests seeking the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Their demand relates to alleged disparities in the handling of the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.
In a post on X, Mr. Gandhi said people across the country were fighting for their rights, often without support. He referred to struggles involving Gen Z, students, farmers, Adivasis, Dalits and women, and said the platform would bring their voices together on one map.
In a video accompanying the launch, Mr. Gandhi said truth was being suppressed and that he had a responsibility as Leader of the Opposition to support resistance. He invited people to submit accounts of the issues they were confronting.
The website allows users to file submissions either individually or as a group. They are asked for details including their name, State or Union Territory, district and contact number, and can select a category and describe their cause. Photographs or videos may also be uploaded.
The platform says each submission will be read and reviewed by a team before being pinned to a map in the relevant State. Selected issues may later be raised through social media, press conferences or Parliament. Mr.
Gandhi later said the site had received more than 10,000 responses in its first nine hours. He said the submissions covered areas including education, corruption, social justice, farmers, labour, health, women’s safety, land and the environment, and described Satyagraha as a long-term initiative.
