Sri Lanka’s JVP delegation to hold talks with BJP leaders during India visit

A five-member delegation from Sri Lanka’s ruling Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna will visit India from September 27 to October 1, the Bharatiya Janata Party has said. The delegation will be led by JVP general secretary Tilvin Silva. Its members will also include central committee member Chandrika Adikari, Member of Parliament Aboobucker Athambawa, district committee member Kabilan Suntharamoorthy and international department member Kalpana Madhubashini.

BJP foreign affairs department in-charge Vijay Chauthaiwale said the group would meet BJP national president Nitin Nabin, national general secretary (organisation) B.L. Santhosh and other senior party leaders. The programme also includes meetings with External Affairs Minister S.

Jaishankar and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, according to the BJP statement. The delegation is expected to meet leaders of different BJP fronts and departments at the party headquarters. The visitors will also visit Parliament and the BJP’s Delhi State office during their five-day stay.
