Andhra Pradesh announces ₹11,085 crore rural works programme

The projects come under Palle Panduga 3.0 and will be launched at Ramapuram village in Varikuntapadu mandal of Udayagiri constituency in SPSR Nellore district. According to a government release, 15,500 kilometres of village roads will be laid at a cost of ₹10,250 crore. The programme also includes the construction of 22,000 Mini Gokulams, or cattle sheds, costing ₹300 crore.
A further 1,000 kilometres of Magic Drains will be built with ₹110 crore. Horticultural plantations will cover 50,000 acres at a cost of ₹225 crore, while ₹200 crore will be spent on rural infrastructure. Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P.
Narayana reviewed arrangements for the launch and the leaders’ visit at the Nellore Collectorate on Monday. Narayana directed officials to coordinate across the Police, Revenue, Municipal Administration, Panchayat Raj, Electricity and Transport departments. He said coordination should continue around the clock to avoid inconvenience to VIPs, leaders and the public.
