Atiku Approves ADC Campaign Council Ahead of 2027 Election

African Democratic Congress presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has approved the party’s National Campaign Council and Presidential Campaign Management Committee for the 2027 election, Channels Television reports. Kashim Ibrahim-Imam will chair the National Campaign Council, while former Kaduna State governor and former Federal Capital Territory minister Nasir El-Rufai will be deputy chairman. Senator Austin Akobundu, who represents Abia Central and is a retired army colonel and former minister of state for defence, will serve as director-general and campaign manager. The organisation will have six main directorates, each headed by a deputy director-general, with 30 directors assigned specific responsibilities.

Dele Momodu will lead the Media and Communications Directorate as deputy director-general.
