The injured were taken to a hospital on the Sri City premises for treatment. IT and Human Resources Development Minister Nara Lokesh expressed shock over the incident and offered condolences to the families of those killed. Home Minister V. Anitha also spoke with Tirupati district officials by telephone. She expressed condolences and directed officials to provide medical treatment to the injured.
Both ministers said the government would stand by the families of the deceased.
