Innovation and Practical Skills Key to Youth Development, Andhra Adviser Says
Andhra Pradesh government adviser Ravi Kumar Vemuru has urged young people to combine innovation, technical competence, hard work and social awareness. Speaking at a national management meet at Acharya Nagarjuna University, he said practical learning and problem-solving skills were increasingly important to students and employers.
Innovation, technical skills, hard work and determination are essential for young people seeking to overcome challenges and shape their futures, Andhra Pradesh government adviser Ravi Kumar Vemuru said on Monday. Vemuru, who is also chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society, was speaking at the opening of a two-day National Management Meet at Acharya Nagarjuna University in Guntur. He urged students to remain aware of social developments and act responsibly.
He said innovation and technical competence, combined with social awareness, would help young people respond to emerging challenges. The event was organised by the university’s Departments of Commerce and Business Administration and International Business Studies. About 250 teams from colleges across India are attending competitions designed to promote creativity, leadership and management skills.
Industrialist and university Executive Council member Tulasi Ramachandra Prabhu said industries increasingly preferred applicants with practical knowledge and problem-solving abilities. He encouraged students to develop creativity and technological expertise. Vice-Chancellor K.
Gangadhara Rao said the event gave students an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities and build confidence. Other university officials encouraged entrepreneurship, practical learning, communication and adaptability. Competitions including “Trade Titans” and “Next-Gen Management” are being held during the two-day programme.
Event convener V. Chandrasekhar Rao said management education should extend beyond the classroom.
