Telangana CM to launch ₹345.78 crore works in BRS stronghold

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is scheduled to visit Sircilla on September 30 to launch and lay foundations for development works worth ₹345.78 crore. The visit will take place in Sircilla, a Bharat Rashtra Samithi stronghold represented by BRS working president K.T.
Rama Rao since 2009. It will be Revanth Reddy’s first visit there as Chief Minister and will include a rally, a procession and a public meeting. Among the projects is a proposed Nethanna Bazaar to provide marketing facilities for handloom and powerloom products made in Sircilla.
The Chief Minister will also lay the foundation for Young India Integrated Residential Schools in Sircilla and Vemulawada at a cost of ₹200 crore. The proposed Peddur complex will cover 18 acres and accommodate about 2,600 students from Classes V to XII. The programme includes 26 works worth ₹99.40 crore connected with development of the Sri Rajarajeshwara Swamy temple at Vemulawada.
Foundations will also be laid for government offices, a warehouse at Rudrangi and police facilities. The visit comes as Rama Rao has criticised the Congress government over administration, welfare guarantees and local development. The projects therefore combine a development programme with a high-profile political visit to the BRS leader’s constituency.
