Kaduna non-indigenes declare support for Tinubu and Uba Sani

A coalition of non-indigenous communities in Kaduna has backed President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 elections. At a rally organised by an APC support group, speakers said the state government treated residents equally and urged communities to mobilise support.
Non-indigenous communities in Kaduna State have declared their support for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections. The Kaduna State Association of Non-Indigenes Support Group for the All Progressives Congress made the declaration during a rally in Kaduna on Saturday. The event, held under the theme “Together as One, We Stand for Uba Sani – Our Man”, drew leaders and members of several ethnic associations.
The march began around 9am in the Kigo Road area and passed through Constitution Road and Ahmadu Bello Way before ending at the APC secretariat on Muhammadu Buhari Way. Participants carried placards and banners supporting the APC administration. Comrade Jerry Adams, the governor’s running mate in the 2027 governorship election, represented Uba Sani at the gathering.
He said the governor’s administration was committed to treating residents equally, regardless of ethnicity or religion. “Governor Uba Sani is a governor for everybody,” Adams said, adding that Kaduna belonged to everyone living and conducting legitimate business in the state. He also said residents’ businesses and properties were safe and that nobody was being pressured to leave.
Adams urged the participating communities to mobilise their families, friends and members ahead of the elections. He also called for continued support for the Federal Government under Tinubu, saying the state and federal administrations were working to improve Nigerians’ lives. Larai Ishaku, chairman of Jaba Local Government Area, highlighted government programmes intended to support businesses and improve residents’ welfare.
She encouraged people to back initiatives aimed at improving governance and living standards. Rally convener Chief John Nwankwere said the event demonstrated the commitment of non-indigenous communities to the APC. Chief Patrick Lawson, chairman of the Political Committee of Ndigbos in Kaduna, also reaffirmed the Igbo community’s commitment to peaceful coexistence and political participation.
