Kerala to hold Thiruvonam bumper draw with ₹30 crore top prize
The Kerala State Lotteries Directorate is scheduled to conduct the Thiruvonam bumper draw on September 26, offering a first prize of ₹30 crore. Nearly all of the 90 lakh printed tickets were sold, and winners must submit their physical tickets and identification documents within 30 days.
The draw for Kerala’s 2026 Thiruvonam bumper lottery, BR-111, is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, at Gorkhi Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram, The Hindu reported. The first prize is ₹30 crore, with the draw set for 2pm. The event can be watched on the Kerala State Lottery official YouTube channel, while results will also be available through the Kerala State Lotteries Portal.
Tickets went on sale on July 20 in 10 series: TA, TB, TC, TD, TE, TG, TH, TJ, TK and TL. Each ticket cost ₹500. The Directorate printed about 90 lakh tickets and sold 89.85 lakh of them.
The first prize was raised from ₹25 crore to ₹30 crore on July 8. According to the published details, this is the first time the Kerala state lottery’s top prize has reached ₹30 crore. The second prize is ₹1 crore for two winners in each of the 20 series.
The third prize is ₹25 lakh for 20 winners, while fourth and fifth prizes are ₹5 lakh and ₹2 lakh respectively for 10 winners each. Additional prizes range from ₹5,000 to ₹500. The lottery lists 54,000 sixth-prize winners, 81,000 seventh-prize winners, 1,24,000 eighth-prize winners and 2,75,400 ninth-prize winners.
Winners must check their tickets against the official results and submit the winning physical ticket to a bank within 30 days of the announcement. Required identification forms and other procedures must also be completed to claim the payout.
