Kerala transport corporation schedules festive inter-State bus services

Services from Bengaluru will run to destinations including Kozhikode, Malappuram, Thrissur, Nilambur, Ponnani, Ernakulam, Changanassery, Pala, Alappuzha, Kollam, Punalur, Kottarakkara, Cherthala, Haripad, Kottayam, Adoor, Kannur, Payyannur, Kanhangad and Thiruvananthapuram. Additional services will connect Mysuru with Kannur and Madurai, while Chennai will have special services to Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam. Some routes, including services to Ernakulam, will use multi-axle air-conditioned buses.
Buses will also operate from several Kerala depots to Bengaluru, Mysuru and Chennai. Some services will run on alternate days, according to the transport minister’s office. The corporation said it would deploy more buses if passenger demand increased.
Online reservations have already opened, allowing travellers to book before the expected rush. Tickets can be booked through the official Kerala State Road Transport Corporation website, the Ente KSRTC Neo OPRS application and reservation counters. The corporation advised passengers to book in advance to avoid last-minute pressure and support more comfortable journeys during the festival period.
