Malkajgiri corporation removes unauthorised structures in enforcement drive

The Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation has intensified enforcement against unauthorised constructions and encroachments across its jurisdiction, removing structures from roads, nalas, government land and other public-use areas. The drives were conducted in the Malkajgiri, Uppal, Kapra and LB Nagar zones on the direction of Commissioner T. Vinay Krishna Reddy.

Officials removed unauthorised floors, sheds, gates, compound walls, projections, ramps and other structures. In Malkajgiri zone, enforcement teams acted against an unauthorised third floor at Fathenagar in Bowenpally. They also removed 51 encroachments between Sainikpuri crossroads and Nirmal Nagar crossroads in Moula Ali.

Officials in Uppal and Kapra took action against unauthorised additional floors, sheds, gates and compound walls. In Uppal, 15 unauthorised sheds and huts were removed from the stretch between Nagole Metro Station and Nalla Cheruvu. Unauthorised third-floor structures were also removed at Chengicherla and Kuntloor.

Further action was taken against unauthorised upper floors at Yamnamapet and Peddamberpet. In the LB Nagar zone, officials removed 20 projections, 10 temporary sheds and five stalls along the road from Bashyam School in Saroornagar towards the Dilsukhnagar bus depot. At Hayathnagar, teams removed 34 encroachments, including 12 ramps and 22 sheds.

The corporation said the action formed part of a wider effort to protect public-use areas. Reddy directed officials to monitor the cleared sites to prevent fresh encroachments. He also asked the Town Planning, Engineering and Revenue departments to coordinate in protecting public roads, nalas, government land and other public spaces, warning that unauthorised construction would attract action under the rules.
