Mr Macaroni thanks supporters and public figures after difficult period

Nigerian actor and content creator Debo Adebayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has thanked people who supported him during what he described as one of the hardest periods of his life. In a post on X on Saturday, Adebayo said messages from people recalling his past acts of kindness moved him to tears. He said the messages made him realise that he had been concentrating on what he had lost instead of being grateful for having come through his difficulties.

Adebayo said he was accustomed to giving and found it difficult to ask for help. He disclosed that he eventually sought assistance and that an unnamed person repeatedly helped settle his debts. He also thanked his fans, whom he called “Mr Macaroni & Friends”, for remaining supportive.

He said their continued presence had helped save him during the difficult period. The actor specifically acknowledged music executive Don Jazzy, saying he had received support from him since his university days. He also thanked Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen and Pastor Bolaji, without detailing the assistance provided by each person.

Adebayo said he was now in a better place and was learning to do things that made him happy. He added that he did not regret actions he had taken to improve other people’s lives. His post prompted followers to recall examples of his generosity.

One follower said Adebayo had supported videographers, while another recalled receiving $200 from him. PUNCHONLINE also reported that veteran actor Peter Fatomilola had recently recounted receiving ₦1m from Adebayo while working on a film, as well as other financial assistance.
