NDA leaders urged to mobilise support for Chandrababu Naidu visit

Andhra Pradesh Roads and Buildings Minister B.C. Janardhan Reddy has urged leaders and workers of the coalition parties to coordinate for Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to Madanapalle on October 2.

Mr. Janardhan Reddy made the appeal at a review meeting in Tamballapalle in Annamayya district on Wednesday. He said the visit by Mr.

Naidu and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman should be made a grand success through strong public participation. The minister called on cadres of the Telugu Desam Party, Jana Sena Party and Bharatiya Janata Party to work together. He said coordination should extend to the village level and urged the coalition to select candidates carefully and develop a strong strategy for the forthcoming local body elections.

He also asked party workers to counter allegations raised by the Opposition and communicate the government’s welfare and development programmes to the public. At the same time, he urged them to address local issues, suggesting that the mobilisation effort should be linked to both the leaders’ visit and the coalition’s wider political preparations. The meeting included a review of arrangements for the visit as well as election planning.

Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy and Mr. Janardhan Reddy were also reported to have inspected preparations ahead of the programme. Kadiri MLA Kandikunta Prasad, Tamballapalle constituency in-charge Shankar Yadav and senior NDA leaders attended the meeting.
