Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has approved appointments across religious affairs, gender, housing, health and women’s mobilisation. The governor also named Moshood Kewuyemi as chief imam of the Government House Mosque. Ondo State Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has approved the appointment of new Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants, according to a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, on Sunday. The governor also appointed Alhaji Moshood Kewuyemi as chief imam of the Government House Mosque. The statement did not provide further details about the imam’s duties or the timing of his assumption of office.

Among the newly appointed senior aides are Folashade Ogunoye, who will serve as Senior Special Assistant on Gender, and Aminu Saidi Tunde, appointed to oversee Islamic Religion Affairs. Rev Tunde Ogunsuyi was named Senior Special Assistant on Christian Religion Affairs. Other appointments include Kemisola Obamoyegun as Senior Special Assistant on Housing and Dr Oluwatobi Aruwajoye as Senior Special Assistant on Primary Health.

Mohammed Sikirat Idera was appointed to Muslim Women Affairs, while Ehuwa Victoria Olufunke will handle Christian Women Affairs. Fauzart Gidado was named Senior Special Assistant on Women Mobilisation for the Central area. Adeniyan said other people had also been appointed as Special Assistants, with their names and roles contained in an accompanying appointment list.

The spokesperson said the appointments formed part of Aiyedatiwa’s continuing effort to strengthen the administration and improve coordination across sectors.
