Oyebamiji hails Oyetola’s public service as minister turns 72

Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress candidate in the last Osun State governorship election, has congratulated the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, on his 72nd birthday. Oyebamiji delivered the message in a statement he personally signed and made available to journalists in Osogbo on Monday. He described Oyetola as an exemplary leader and praised what he called the minister’s record of service in both the public and private sectors.

Oyebamiji, a former managing director of Osun State Investment Company Limited and a two-term finance commissioner, said Oyetola had demonstrated compassion, empathy and commitment to humanity. He also expressed gratitude for Oyetola’s mentorship, fatherly guidance and support over the years. He highlighted Oyetola’s career as chief of staff to former Osun Governor Rauf Aregbesola, governor of Osun and, currently, a federal minister.

Oyebamiji said these roles reflected a record of leadership, performance and public service. Oyebamiji also praised the minister’s contribution to Nigeria’s maritime sector. He said Oyetola had helped improve the country’s revenue profile and contributed to a transformation of the sector that he described as unprecedented.

“On behalf of my family and the good people of our party, I celebrate with you, your family, political and professional associates, as well as well-wishers all over the world,” Oyebamiji said in the statement. He wished Oyetola good health and a long life, and prayed that he would continue to provide what he described as quality leadership and selfless service to humanity.
