Police say mechanic beat unidentified man to death in Vijayawada

An unidentified man was reportedly beaten to death after a quarrel in Auto Nagar, Vijayawada, on Tuesday. Central Zone Assistant Commissioner of Police K. Damodar said the alleged attacker, identified as V.

Hari Babu, smashed the victim’s head against a road divider during the confrontation. The victim died at the scene, according to the police account. The incident occurred on 100-feet Road in the industrial area.

Patamata Circle Inspector V. Pavan Kishore, who is investigating the case, said Hari Babu was a mechanic working in Auto Nagar. Police identified him as a native of Gullalamoda village in Nagayalanka mandal of Krishna district.
