Tinubu support movement unveils Kano structure and gives 50 campaign vehicles

The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement has launched its Kano State structure and donated 50 branded vehicles to support grassroots mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election. The vehicles were presented on Sunday at the Kano Government House during the unveiling ceremony. The event was attended by All Progressives Congress leaders, government officials, lawmakers, traditional and religious leaders, and supporters, according to the source material.

The movement was founded and convened by Niger Delta figure Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo. Representing him at the event, Delta State House of Assembly Speaker Emomotimi Guwor said the group intended to take its campaign directly to voters through structures operating at grassroots level. Guwor said the movement would establish coordinators at ward and polling-unit levels and seek support for Tinubu across the country.

He attributed the mobilisation to what he described as the administration’s economic reforms and infrastructure projects, citing fuel-subsidy removal, foreign-exchange reforms, the Kano rail project and rehabilitation of Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport. Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf received the vehicles and described the donation as evidence of Tompolo’s support for the APC and Tinubu’s bid for a second term. He said the vehicles would be deployed to political structures and groups across Kano’s 44 local government areas.

Yusuf also urged political stakeholders, particularly in northern Nigeria, to support Tinubu’s re-election bid. He argued that presidential power should return to the North after the South completes an eight-year cycle, while calling for peaceful and issue-based campaigns. The governor said parties should discuss their records, policies and development plans instead of engaging in personal attacks.

The Kano launch is described as the latest expansion of the movement’s campaign network; the source also says it has previously launched structures and distributed vehicles in Katsina and Borno states.
