Czechia had been reduced to 10 men in the first half when Pavel Šulc was sent off for a foul on Elliot Anderson. England controlled much of the remainder, with Morgan Rogers hitting the post and Kovář saving from Kane. Elsewhere, Italy beat Türkiye 4-1 after losing their opening match to Belgium.
France defeated Belgium 1-0 through a late Michael Olise goal. The league phase continues with Matchdays 3 and 4 in October and Matchdays 5 and 6 in November, concluding on November 17, according to UEFA.
