D’Banj gives three campaign buses to Osun aspirant

Nigerian singer D’Banj has donated three brand-new Sienna buses to lawyer and politician Pelumi Olajengbesi, who is seeking election to represent the Oriade-Obokun Federal Constituency in Nigeria’s House of Representatives in 2027. Olajengbesi said the vehicles were presented in Osogbo and described the donation as a significant personal endorsement.
Nigerian singer Dapo Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’Banj, has donated three brand-new Sienna space buses to lawyer and politician Pelumi Olajengbesi in support of his planned 2027 House of Representatives campaign. Olajengbesi is seeking to represent the Oriade-Obokun Federal Constituency in Osun State. He said the singer presented the vehicles in Osogbo, the state capital, on Thursday.
In a Facebook post on Friday, Olajengbesi described the donation as a surprise and a major show of support from D’Banj. He said the singer had contacted him about two weeks earlier to request the details of the person handling his campaign branding. Olajengbesi said he assumed the request related to D’Banj’s CREAM project, which supports young creatives, and shared the contact details.
He said he was later surprised to receive three fully branded Sienna buses. According to Olajengbesi, D’Banj described the vehicles as “my token of support” when contacted about the donation. The politician said the gesture demonstrated the singer’s backing for his political ambitions.
The donation follows an earlier endorsement of Olajengbesi by Afrobeats star David Adeleke, known as Davido, according to the report. Olajengbesi previously contested the federal constituency seat in 2019. He also served as spokesman for Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election campaign and convenes the Imole Grassroots Mobilisation Network in the state.
