Mysuru health camp screens 110 women sanitation workers

A free comprehensive health check-up camp was held in Mysuru on Sunday for 110 women sanitation workers employed in Zone 9 of the Mysuru City Corporation. The camp was organised by the corporation in association with Dr. Jyothi’s Healthcare Hospital on Rajkumar Road.
MCC Commissioner M.K. Savita inaugurated the initiative, which was aimed at safeguarding the health of women pourakarmikas. The beneficiaries received medical tests valued at around ₹5,000 without charge.
The screening included a complete haemogram, renal and liver function tests, lipid profile, random blood sugar, thyroid function test and HbA1c. The women also underwent Pap smear tests and electrocardiograms. In addition to the investigations, they were offered consultations with a gynaecologist and a physician.
