Elections to Panchayati Raj institutions in Rajasthan will be held in four phases from October 23 to November 17, the state election commission announced on Saturday. The polls will cover members of 41 Zila Parishads, 457 Panchayat Samitis and 14,403 Gram Panchayats. The schedule follows the delimitation and reorganisation of the local governing institutions.

State Election Commissioner Rajeshwar Singh said more than 4.03 crore voters would be eligible to vote. The commission plans to establish 45,384 polling stations across the state. Polling for Zila Parishad and Panchayat Samiti members will take place on October 23, October 29, November 4 and November 14, from 7am to 6pm.

The electoral roll contains 4,03,07,308 voters, including 2,08,87,351 men, 1,94,19,789 women and 168 third-gender voters. The commission said the electorate had grown by 6.22% compared with the 2020-21 elections.
