Sai Masu Gida were held to a 1-1 draw by the Noisy Lagosians at Kano’s Sani Abacha Stadium. Valentine Ugwu put the visitors ahead before Abdullahi Musa equalised, leaving the Lagos club without a win in three matches despite moving up to eighth.

Sai Masu Gida were held to a 1-1 draw by the Noisy Lagosians in a Nigeria Premier Football League Matchday 7 fixture at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano on Saturday. Valentine Ugwu gave the visitors a surprise lead in first-half stoppage time, but Sai Masu Gida responded soon after the interval. Abdullahi Musa equalised in the 48th minute.

Both teams created chances while seeking a winning goal, but neither found a second. The result ended the Kano club’s recent dominance at home: they had won 10 of their previous 11 matches on their own ground. The draw allowed Daniel Ogunmodede’s side to preserve their unbeaten start to the campaign and move to fifth in the table.

The Noisy Lagosians began the match ninth with eight points and climbed to eighth. However, the result extended their winless sequence to three matches. Their recent run includes a 1-1 draw with Barau FC and a goalless midweek draw against Ikorodu City.

Sai Masu Gida will next travel to Ibadan to face Shooting Stars. The Noisy Lagosians are scheduled to host Bendel Insurance in their next league fixture. Neither side could convert its late opportunities, leaving the teams to share the points after a contest in which the visitors led and the hosts recovered.
