Fuji musician Adewale Ayuba endorses Tinubu for a second term

Fuji musician Adewale Ayuba has backed President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, saying the president should have time to complete projects begun by his administration. Ayuba cited improved roads around his hometown in Ogun State and joined a growing list of entertainers publicly supporting Tinubu ahead of 2027.
Fuji musician Adewale Ayuba has endorsed President Bola Tinubu’s bid for a second term, saying the president should be allowed to consolidate projects and policies started during his administration. Ayuba, also known as Mr Johnson, stated his position in a video shared by Goldmyne TV on Instagram on Sunday. He cited road improvements around his hometown, Ikenne Remo in Ogun State, as evidence of development he attributed to the Tinubu administration.
The singer said journeys to Ikenne had previously been difficult and had damaged his car because of poor road conditions. He said he could now reach the town in 25 to 30 minutes and had several routes available. Ayuba said his assessment was based on his travels across Nigeria and his personal experience of infrastructure in the area.
He argued that a president who was delivering tangible results should be given sufficient time to complete the work already under way. “Somebody wants to come back to finish his eight years, and they want to bring in another president,” he said, according to the supplied report. Ayuba said what he had seen during his travels had compelled him to speak publicly.
His endorsement comes as other entertainers, including Remi Surutu, Adams “Lege Miami” Kehinde, Yomi Fash-Lanso, Yul Edochie, Seyi Law, Eniola Badmus and Zack Orji, have also declared support for Tinubu’s 2027 bid. Some of the entertainers formed EKO57, a political support group intended to mobilise backing for the president. The group has said Tinubu performed well and that some national problems predated his administration.
The supplied report said Tinubu faces a difficult re-election contest as Nigeria deals with a severe cost-of-living crisis. It did not provide responses from opposition parties to Ayuba’s endorsement.
