Newlywed couple among six abducted near Kwara-Kogi border, police say

A newlywed couple and four other people were abducted on Saturday evening along the Eruku-Iyemero Road near the border between Kwara and Kogi states, according to the Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Adekimi Ojo. The victims were reportedly returning from an engagement ceremony in Eruku when they were taken. Sources said the vehicle had been expected to use Isanlu Road, but the driver selected a back road to drop the best man and other passengers in Iyamoye, Kogi State.
