Andhra Pradesh commission tells candidates to update recruitment profiles

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission has advised applicants and candidates to update their One-Time Profile Registration details from September 30, 2026. The commission said the change followed new arrangements for determining local status in the State. Its revised system includes modifications to district, zone and multi-zone information based on candidates’ study and residence details.

The instruction was contained in a press note issued by the commission on Tuesday. APPSC said the changes had been made in accordance with the Andhra Pradesh Presidential Order, 2025, particularly Paragraph 7 of a government order issued on April 20, 2026. Candidates have been directed to update their OTPR particulars before applying for any recruitment notification issued by the commission.

They were also told to ensure that the information entered was accurate, complete and consistent with the applicable rules. The commission said the details provided through the registration system would be verified at the relevant stage of the recruitment process. This means information entered at the profile stage may be checked when a candidate’s application or eligibility is assessed.

APPSC warned that candidates who submit incorrect information or make false declarations about their eligibility or other particulars could have their candidature rejected under the applicable rules. The commission said candidates could update their information through its official website, psc.ap.gov.in. The notice does not provide further details about individual recruitment notifications or a separate deadline beyond the instruction to update the profile before applying.
