Ekiti governor and PDP chieftain unite behind Tinubu’s 2027 re-election

The commitment was made in Ado Ekiti at a rally organised by the Oluyede Progressive Alliance for Renewed Hope Agenda. The event marked the conclusion of a programme titled “20,000 Steps for Tinubu”.
Oyebanji said the All Progressives Congress and the PDP in Ekiti were approaching the election as “one united family”. He urged residents to vote for Tinubu and said the state should target at least 900,000 votes for the President. The governor claimed that no past Nigerian president had benefited Ekiti as positively as Tinubu since 2023.
He also thanked Oluyede for setting aside party differences and mobilising PDP members behind the President. Oluyede, who was the PDP candidate in the June 20 governorship election, said his supporters would conduct door-to-door mobilisation across all 16 local government areas. He said the group was committed to delivering 90 per cent of Ekiti’s votes to Tinubu and linked the support to assurances he said the President had given concerning the state’s development.
