VVCE reunites first graduating batch after 25 years

The event, held on the college campus under the theme “Guru Vandana – A Tribute to Beloved Teachers”, was organised for the 2001 batch. It focused on the relationship between former students and the institution, as well as the role played by teachers in shaping the graduates’ academic and professional lives.
Professor N.S. Lingegowda, coordinator of the VVCE Alumni Association, highlighted the emotional significance of the gathering and the continuing bond between teachers and students. Several teachers were honoured during the programme.
Vice-Principal Shobhashankar presented an overview of the college’s development. She referred to its NBA and NAAC accreditation, modern infrastructure and student-focused facilities, and said the institution aspired to achieve private university status in the coming years. P.

He asked alumni to support young engineers by providing professional referrals and helping facilitate recruitment opportunities with reputed companies. Gundappa Gowda, president of the Vidyavardhaka Sangha, urged former students to assist economically disadvantaged learners and establish endowment awards for students who achieved high academic ranks.
One of the teachers who was felicitated recalled returning to the period when the first batch were his earliest students. Distinguished alumnus Keshav, who travelled from Canada, said he admired the college’s transformation and that the batch had contributed to its development. The reunion ended with expressions of gratitude and nostalgia, alongside a renewed commitment to strengthening the connection between VVCE, its teachers and alumni.
