Tinubu congratulates Bishop Oyedepo on 72nd birthday

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo, founder and presiding bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, on his 72nd birthday. The message was contained in a statement issued on Sunday by Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga. The President joined Oyedepo’s family, church members, the Christian community and his admirers in marking the occasion.

Tinubu praised the cleric’s contribution to the moral and spiritual development of individuals and communities. He highlighted Oyedepo’s emphasis on integrity, discipline, diligence, responsibility and excellence. The President also pointed to the bishop’s role in education and human-capital development through institutions including Covenant University and Landmark University.

According to Tinubu, Oyedepo’s influence extended beyond religious preaching into education, publishing, leadership development and humanitarian service. He also referred to the international presence of Living Faith Church Worldwide. Tinubu cited social-development initiatives associated with Oyedepo’s ministry, including schools, healthcare facilities and humanitarian interventions.

He also mentioned the David Oyedepo Foundation’s support for education and people in need. The President said Oyedepo had spent more than four decades preaching faith, promoting integrity and encouraging excellence. He prayed for the bishop’s continued wisdom, strength, good health and renewed grace, and wished him further years of service to God and humanity.
